I am going to hep out at one of our Superstores today. I am quite excited as it is our Apple launch. I will get to see all kinds of new products and there should be lots going on. It was also very cool to be asked. This should be a fun day!

We took the girls to my cousin's farm a few weeks ago. They got to meet sheep and chickens. The lambs were so cute. I was surprised how brave Katie was with the petting and touching and how Maggie would have nothing to do with the sheep. She was very intimidated by them and wouldn't go near. It was really nice to see Dawn and a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning. Robert (the ram) was a little bit gross but very friendly; I have never heard anything like the noise that animal makes. It is somewhere between a belch and a vomit. Quite startling after the cute little baaa's of the lambs.

Katie is a school girl! We went to her orientation and she loved it. She walked right in and started her tour with her "big buddy". No shyness and no hesitation. I was so proud of her. She didn't want to leave. Her buddy was so cute and impressed with himself for being a big helper and showing her around the school. He held doors and took her freeze wrapper to the garbage for her. I met and really liked her teacher. She was incredibly patient with all the kids (and parents). i asked to switch Katie from B days to A days and she told me she understood finding daycare and switched us right away. I am happy about the whole situation. Unless somebody can teach me how to keep her little forever?

I am taking Katie to her kindergarten orientation next week. I am of mixed emotions. I am happy for her because she is so excited and can't wait to make a "best girl friend". She even has a plan to get one. She is going to go up to a girl and ask her if nobody asks her first. She told me she would pick a girl she "thinks looks nice". But at the same time where is my little baby girl. How did she grow up so fast? Now that we have made a final decision on more kids I notice more how quickly they are getting big. I will have no baby left soon. I know there are many happy times coming, i enjoy doing girly things with Katie more every day but it breaks my heart that there will be no more babies.

What a crazy and fun weekend! This weekend was so busy and such a good time for so many reasons. It was the annual Rebecca Meier Fund golf tournament that I volunteer at every year. I take the photos of the foursomes, take them to my work and print them, put them in folders that I emboss with the charities name and then bring them back to the site to hand out before the golfers are done their round. This was my third year and it is a blast. The people that run the tourny are a riot and we provide some much needed help to families with kids battling cancer. It doesn't get much better than that!!!

Then Sunday was Katie's dance picture day (what a zoo!) in the morning closely followed by her birthday party. It was a bit of a race to get there on time as pictures ran a little long but we made it and the kids had a rockin' time. I highly recommend a destination birthday party. We had hers at a local bowling alley and there is nothing better than getting there, welcoming your guests, having fun and then walking away with no clean up!!!

I went to see Indy last nigth while DH sat with the kids (he is good about letting me escape when I want to). It was really good. Harrison Ford still is sexy for an old guy. When I left the theatre it was only 8pm so I stopped by my LSS for a little browsing. It was so nice to be therre alone with no worry about who is waiting for me. Well, my browsing turned into $40 spending. I got the 'tester" pack of the Doodlebug flock and some BG rub ons and some of the MM Noteworthy. I have been drooling over this stuff on line for ages and it was great to get my hands on some. I hope I get a chance to scrap this weekend. If not I am going to a late night next Friday where I can play!

This is a very simple invite but the recipients are only 4! We are having a bowling party for her birthday because it ends up being less expensive than a BBQ, less people messing up my house and much more exciting for her. Plus the guests have the rest of their Sunday afternoon to spend with their family.
Here are a few pics of the clear album I made in a class by Triash Ladouceur. She is one very talented lady. I did find out that clear albums mess with my auto focus!

It's been a while

It had been months since I updated this and I see that I was a little overwhelmed at the time. The girls have been sick over and over since then. Both on antibiotics ast least once (Maggie so many times). Now we finally have a referral to an ENT doctor for Maggie so maybe we can get the ear infections behind us.

So much has happened work wise since then. I have been promoted to manager of my store. I am very happy being in charge. We have made so many improvements in such a short time and the stmosphere is a lot more fun.

It's a long weekend here and I could really use it! I have been working a lot so it was so nice this weekend to just hang out with my family and get some tidying done in the house. I am almost caught up with the laundry. YEAH!!

I went scrapping last friday night at my semi-LSS. I met my friend for a midnight crop and finished off an album for my SIL. This Friday I went to a crop at my friends church and finished a clear album I started in a class at Scrapfest and made up Katie's birthday invites. I played around with a new product (for me) called Perfect Pearls. So pretty! I don't know how often I will be able to incorporate them into my layouts but I like playing with them. I am also going to a late night next Friday at my LSS and I am looking forward to making a page for my own album. I will try to post some pics of the album and the invites later today.

Things are getting worse and worse. I have now joined the ranks of the sick. We had been clear for about 6 hours and I thought we were home free but we just started again with renewed vigour. I am tired and feeling sorry for myself. I have to give myself a little pat on the back though. I didn't get mad or cranky or even flustered with either of the girls since this started. Vomit is one of my worst things so I am happy I could hold it together for so long and with 3 nights of no sleep.

So while I am happy with how I have handled it I would still like it to stop now.

I want my Mommy!

My first Post

I have been hesitant to start a blog. I like the idea of a journal, but I'm not sure if I want it to be a public one. I figure with so many out there not many people would actually read mine. My life is not that interesting! ;p I plan on using this blog to vent, express opinions and just have something to "talk" to when I need an ear.

Tonight is one of those times. I have two little ones with the flu. Constant puking. One of my girls also has a double ear infection. Not a fun time at our house. Thankfully my husband is home tonight and he is a great help. But no day with 4 loads of laundry can be counted a good day.

I am off to the store to get some gravol and I hope that it lets them (and me!) get a little sleep tonight.

Told you my life is not that interesting!!!
