A place for me to write, think and share.

Took the train into Toronto the other day for work. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I was a little nervous. Anytime that I am "trapped" I get anxious (touch claustrophobic?). I do not know how people do that everyday. About 2 1/2 hours from door to door. Better that me driving and getting lost downtown though. Not as impressed with Dundas Square and The Eaton Centre as I thought I would be. Just seemed like another mall and not as clean or bright as say, Newmarket. Guess I am not a city girl!

This has been a really long week. I am bushed. 6 days of work (2 more of them still to go) and a LONG conference call on my one day off. My DH's first week of nights in YEARS so I am having trouble getting used to it. And my youngest is sick so that has meant very little sleep. I am looking very forward to next friday when I am taking off with my best scrapping buddy for two days of scrapping bliss. Scrapfest!! A scrapbook shoppers paradise. I will try to be restrained this year but I love new toys. If I knew how busy the next few weeks would be with work I probably would not have booked this. There is some guilt leaving the girls and DH on a weekend I actually have off. DH is very supportive of me taking a little "me" time but I have missed so much with the kids lately that I still feel bad.
I know I can use the break though. My patience is wearing thin with everybody and I have been far too cranky. Maybe I will come back happy and refreshed. Or maybe I will take a few days holidays in the beginning of May and just spend some mom and kiddo time.

Her is a couple of pictures of our resort. We are staying at Pop Century this time. I have never stayed at a value before so I am a little nervous. I think I will miss the quiet pools. I do not mind no sit down restaurants because I don't think we will use them a lot this trip. But we are at Disney so it will still be great. My major concern is the bus system. I hope it is as fast as POR. There is also a picture of the cabana at Typhoon Lagoon. This is something new for us this time and I am really looking forward to it. I love the thought of cold water without waiting in line, somebody else waiting for our lunch and always having a seat without having to worry if somebody moved your stuff or will it have shade later this afternoon. The girls loved the waterpark last time and it seems to be what they are looking forward to most this time. I have to admit it is the most relaxing day of our trip. It is strange because it is busy and running around but relaxing.

I cannot believe I forgot I had a blog. I was clearing out my old bookmark list and deleting sites or blogs I no longer frequent and I ran across this. I wonder if I will actually start keeping it up again.
I am deep into planning a Disney trip for my family and my best friend and her family. We are about 180 days out so I was able to make my ADR's this week. I only booked 2 sit down meals. With 3 kids under the age of 10 we did not think that a lot of time spent sitting and eating would be appreciated. I am having a ton of fun with the planning as I have pretty much been given free reign. Nobody else is interested in putting in the time or research and that is something I really enjoy.
We have booked a cabana for our waterpark day. I am super excited. It is a private space with shade and chairs and tables. We get an attendant that will supply drinks and lunch. With 7 people, 5 of which burn very badly the major draw for us is always having seating in the shade when we want it. Very worth the $250 for us.
